Antenatal/Childbirth Education

You are best to start your Antenatal Classes when you are approx. 28-32 weeks' pregnant. Please choose the class starting closest to this.

These programme's are fully funded, therefore FREE.  Please ensure you bring your mask to our classes.

Class Schedule

  • Saturdays, 21st & 28th May, 9am to 3.30pm, (due date: July)
  • Mondays, 13th June to 18th July, 7pm to 9.15pm (due date: August/September)
  • Saturdays, 20th & 27th August, 9am to 3.30pm, (due date: late September/October)
  • Mondays, 12th September to 17th October, 7pm to 9.15pm (due date: November)
  • Saturdays, 29th October & 5th November, 9am to 3.30pm, (due date: December)
  • Saturdays, 10th & 17th December, 9am to 3.30pm (due date: January/February)

Baby & You

This daytime course consists of three 2-hour sessions. Each session is led by a specialist in the field. It is aimed at parents with babies 0 to 3 months.  

These classes will be held at the River Ridge East Birth Centre, 35 Von Tempsky Street, Hamilton East and are free thanks to funding from the Wel Energy Trust.

  • Tuesdays, 14th to 28th June, 10am to 12pm
  • Tuesdays, 19th July to 2nd August, 10am to 12pm
  • Tuesdays, 9th to 23rd August, 10am to 12pm
  • Tuesdays, 13th to 27th September, 10am to 12pm
  • Tuesdays, 18th to 1st November, 10am to 12pm
  • Tuesdays, 22nd November to 6th December 10am to 12pm

The structure of this course is relaxed and informal with time for your questions and a cuppa. A great opportunity for new parents to meet other parents experiencing the same joys and challenges and for parents-to-be to see what lies ahead!
